Employees in companies acquired by US multinationals tend to benefit whether they are skilled or not, research presented today at the Royal Economics Society annual conference shows.

　　In contrast to the protests from workers across continental Europe trying to stop US multinationals taking over domestic companies, Holger Görg and Sourafel Girma of Nottingham University found that employees had been some of the biggest beneficiaries of acquisitions.
